An Itinerary is a plan for a journey including more locations than your final destination.

From application version 10.5, you can plan routes with up to 3 extra stops before reaching your final destination.
To plan a route that travels via one or more stops, follow these steps:
- Tap Drive To… from the Main menu and plan a route to your final destination.
Your navigation device calculates your route and a summary of the route is shown.
- Tap Change route at the bottom of the route summary screen.
- Tap Travel via...
- Add your first stop.
- Tap Change route from the Main menu to add more stops.
Note: Tap The arrow next to a stop to change the order of your stops or to remove a stop.
- Tap Done to update the route.
For routes with more than one stop, the order of the stops is optimised automatically based on the distances between them.

An Itinerary can include the following items:
- Destination - a location on your journey where you want to stop.
- Waypoint - a location on your journey where you want to travel through without stopping.
Each itinerary can contain a maximum of 48 waypoints and destinations.
Creating an itinerary
Connect your device to TomTom HOME and then click Operate my device to easily create an itinerary using your computer. You can also create the itinerary directly on your device.
- Tap Itinerary planning in the Main Menu of your device.
Note: This button may only be available if all menu options are shown. To show all menu options, tap Show ALL menu options.
- Tap Add and then enter your first location. This could, for example, be an Address, Favorite, Point on Map, or Latitude Longitude coordinate.
By default every location you enter is a destination. To change it into a waypoint, tap it and then tap Mark as waypoint.
- You can manage the order of your locations by tapping them and then selecting Move item up or Move item down.
- Tap Done.
You're asked if you want to navigate to the first destination of your itinerary. If you tap NO you can navigate your route later by tapping Itinerary planning again.
To save your itinerary tap Options and tap Save Itinerary.
To open a saved itinerary tap Options and then tap Load Itinerary.
