Is this update meant for me?
This update can ONLY be used when you have already installed a registered version of TomTom NAVIGATOR 5 on your Palm OS device.

	This update cannot be used with: TomTom Navigator (4.40 or older) for Palm TomTom Navigator 2, 3 or 5 for Pocket PC TomTom HP Navigation Pack (iPAQ 1710/2110) HP/TomTom GPS Navigation (iPAQ 6510/6515) TomTom Navigator 2004

	This version has the following features and improvements: Both NAVIGATOR 5 and Contacts Navigation can independently be assigned to a button Improved error messages in the HotSync© log For PalmOne Treo 650: Improved handling of incoming phone calls The device will always turn off when the power key is pressed

Part 1 for Windows® users: Download the update file

To update the application on your Palm OS device, follow the steps below.

1. Click the Download button.

Version 5.12 for Windows (EXE)

2. Click Save. Save the application to your Desktop. Go to Part 2.

If you are unable to download this file, click the Download button below.

For security reasons, your network administrator may not allow .exe files to be downloaded. In such cases, you will have to download the .zip file provided below.

Version 5.12 for Windows (ZIP)

Click Save.
Save the .zip file to your Desktop.
You will need to extract the files from the .zip file before you can go to step 2.

Part 1 for Apple Macintosh® users: Download the update file

To update the application on your Palm OS device, follow the steps below.

1. Click the Download button.

2. The download starts. A volume will mount with the TomTom Setup application. Go to Part 2.

Part 2: Update the application

You must have HotSync installed on the computer in order to start the TomTom Setup application.

1. Windows users, either:
Double-click the file navupd512.exe, which you saved on your Desktop.

Or:

Double-click the file setup.exe, which you extracted from the navupd512.zip file.
The installation starts.

Apple Macintosh users:

Double-click TomTom Setup.
The installation starts.

2. Select your language.

3. Read the license agreement. You must select I agree, then click


4. Select Install the application, then click



After the TomTom Setup application has completed, you have to start HotSync so that the TomTom NAVIGATOR application is updated on your Palm OS device.
